forceghost an electronic psych rock duo from Augusta, GA. Eric Kinlaw (vocals, guitar, bas, sound design) and Marcus Barfield (modular, sound design) started their foreghost project as an outlet for left-field, lo-fi electronic psych rock. The duo from Augusta, GA based duo have been tinkering for a year with the six tracks of their debut EP unknowing the known, pulling them apart and putting them together again, mosty with extra parts thrown in to create a wild ride wherein progressive rock rubs shoulders with free jazz, before taking sharp to enter freak dance pop country.
Kinlaw and Barfield have used every trick, pushed each button, used all the faders on their equipment, and put their editing software through the wringer to end up with a product that laughs at futile atttempts at pigeonholing. Plenty of what-the-fuck moments alternate with a few breather bars to give the listener a fleeting chance to make sense of the free-flowing weirdness.
unknowing the known is released via gift fig records (vinyl, CD, cassette, digital). Release date: March 1.
