Welsh guitarist Richard Thomas revisited Place Your Hands by English rock Band Reef with his one-man band Mint Biscuit. It is a track that was setlist regular when he played with Mint when he was a student at Durham University. Despair and hope are juggling from dominance in the lyrics of this one, and he did a fine job with the vocals - nevermind he to stitch them together from a couple of takes.
Those familiar with the original will notice that there a bit of extra mustard when he plays the bridge one more time. He decided to keep it that way. Shoring up a song with a bonus bridge by mistake actually made it more sturdy and interesting.
Place Your Hands is a self-released single. Buy it from his website.
