London based psych collective Mandrake Handshake make a case for slow travel with their new single Charlie's Comet, a dreamy song that also serves as a heartfelt send-off for their rhythm guitarist Charlie Arrowsmith who has left the band that explore other pastures. They are down to a nonet, which should suffice to keep churning out their special blend of "Flowerkraut", a mix of jazz, bossanova, funk and psychedelic rock.
Charlie's Comet is released via Tip Top Recordings.
