Vancouver based multi-instrumentalist Spencer Krug got the band back together for a new Sunset Rubdown album, Always Happy to Explode, due for release on September 20th. Their blend of art rock and psychedelica made them underground favourites before they went on hiatus in 2009. The new single Reappearing Rat is a fine example of soul searching, and a plea for not blaming other people when things go South. The video was directed by Derek Janzen.
Always Happy to Explode is on all the usual digital streaming services.
