Electronic psych rock duo forceghost are quick to release a follow-up for their unknowing the known EP. Eric Kinlaw and Marcus Barfield once again bond over a love for off-kilter synths, twisted guitar and going all out with sound design, making the new recycled hearts EP a trippy experience wherein pop dances hand-in-hand 80s New Wave.
The vocals are given a detachted robotic treatment, as if they don't want to be seen in the company of the good-natured musical mayhem, before giving in and joining the party. The rhytmic shifts can be a bit unnerving for the unitiated, but going for a straight backbeat would have killed the vibe. It is unclear what it is they are doing exactly in their studio in Augusta, GA, but it won't be long before people start banging on their door, begging for the recipe.
